Three rooms · Arts & Crafts home

Tucket House, Surrey

Three separate spaces given their own personality, linked by a shared palette and a natural flow between them.

The brief

My clients wanted three rooms in their Arts and Crafts home to each have a distinct personality, without the house feeling like a set of unrelated schemes.

The challenge

Individuality and cohesion pull in opposite directions. Each room needed its own colour and mood while sharing enough material language to flow from one to the next.

The design solution

I gave each space its own lead colour and character, then tied them together with repeated timber tones, a shared material vocabulary and consistent lighting levels.

The outcome

Three rooms with real individual character and an easy flow between them.
